A warm welcome to Bedlington Community Centre… A venue for every occasion right in the heart of the town

The Centre is a non-profit making organisation and our Board of Trustees are responsible for the overall running of the centre.

The Centre occupies a prime position right in the middle of the town’s main street.  It is well served by local bus services and ample free parking behind the shops on the main street.  The Centre aims to provide a comprehensive service to the local community and offers facilities which are fully accessible to all members of the community.

Our story

Originally the centre was owned and run by Wansbeck District but in 2010 Northumberland County Council announced that the Centre’s funding was to be cut by 75%.  This would mean redundancies and the inevitable closure of the Centre.   A vigorous campaign against this closure resulted in the formation of a community trust in 2011 which successfully rescued the Centre from disuse.

The Centre is now extensively updated,  and offers a wide range of facilities ideal for live music, dance and theatre, events, family celebrations, classes, meetings and conferences.
